Day Thirteen Consecration to Mary for the 21st Century/A Lenten Journey

Day Thirteen Consecration to Mary for the 21st Century/A Lenten Journey

                                                                        Day Thirteen

Wednesday of the Second Week of Lent

Prayers for this week, Days11-17 in Lent:

Begin each day with "Lord, I wish to consecrate myself to You, through Your Mother, Mary."

First Meditation

Pay ahead, today.  IOW, do something nice for someone else.  Either pay the toll for the person behind you, the bus fare, coffee.  You could bring in something for your co-workers, or neighbor.

Second Meditation

Meditate upon this quote from Bl. Elizabeth Leseur, "We must never reject anyone who seeks to approach us spiritually; perhaps that person, consciously or unconsciously, is in quest of the unknown God (Acts 17: 23) and has sensed in us something that reveals His presence; perhaps he or she thirsts for the truth and feels that we live by this truth.

Third Meditation

Every time you walk through a door way, pray the prayer ejaculation, "Praise the Lord, for He is good."

End the day with, "Lord, hear Your Mother's prayers."

End your day with an examination of conscience--even in bed.
Mother of God, pray for me.
What good did I do today?
Where did I fail?
How can I do better?
