Raab

I finally got to work in my garden today.  I was shocked to see that my sage, chives, and kale, had flowered.  I googled to see if the flowers were edible.
Not only are they edible, they're delicious.
You cook them in oil with salt and pepper.

This didn't seem very much so I added the flowers to chives and sage.

They tasted good just like this, but I cut up a tomato and used these herbs as a dressing.  Yes it was good.

Angelica NOT

Last spring, actually two springs ago, I planted angelica seeds.  They never came up.  This spring I thought I'd try one more time.  Nothing happened.

Picking up after the growing season, I was surprised by a tiny growth.  Could it be my angelica plant?  I treated it with TLC.  It grew.  But not a beautiful angelica flower. But rather a mushroom.

God was blessing me.

One Good Thing About Rain

I can't remember it raining so much. I own two raincoats. Both are soaking wet.

Today, while running from the car to the house, dodging rain drops, I spotted the tiger lillies. Gorgeous!

I just had to go inside and get my camera.

Almost makes the rain worthwhile. But c'mon--enough's enough!

Human Dignity

It just dawned on me that God created me for Himself.  In Genesis 1: 1-31, we see God made everything for mankind.  I'm in awe to reali...
