One of my daily reads is Fr. Jeffrey Steel over at
De Cura Animarum. He's the chaplain at St. Thomas More School in Chelsea. And this is not Chelsea, the city right outside Boston. It's Chelsea, the city right outside London. And that's not London, Connecticut, either; it's London, England. Names in New England and Old England are confusing. If only, St. Thomas More School were in Chelsea, right outside Boston, in New England, because then it would be easier to procure the necessities that Father Steel needs. The Archdiocese of Boston is closing churches. And Father Steel is trying to fix up the chapel. Father is in need of:
|
St. Thomas More Secondary School |
- large crucifix for behind the altar
- icons
- statues
- candlesticks
- wall lamps
- altar linens
- blue cloth for Our Lady
- large sacred art
There's more. Check out
Father Jeffrey Steel's blog. On second thought, since this is England, sending money might be the better alternative. Why don't you email Father and see what you can do to help? jeffrey.steel1@btinternet.com
