Dastardly Deeds

Msgr. Moran in commenting upon Tobit 2:9-14 referred to the cataracts in Tobit's eyes as caused by the dastardly deed of the birds dropping their feces into his eyes.  Well, no one will argue that bird droppings isn't dastardly. Suddenly, my imagination took off.

Think of all the other biblical dastardly deeds, e.i., selling Joseph into slavery, Job's misfortunates, Jesus sold for 30 pieces of silver, etc.

But then God steps in.

If Joseph weren't sold into slavery, he wouldn't have been in a position in Egypt to help his people.
Job was rewarded double and more.
Jesus redeemed us.
And Tobit is cured with the help of the archangel, Raphael, and his son Tobias gets a wife.

Why do I find it so difficult to trust in the Lord?  God keeps proving His love for me, over and over.
