News Used to Manipulate

I'm working on writing an article on how to spot "fake news."  As I come across information that I think is worthwhile, I'll share it in a post.

Here are some examples of misinformation:

satire

misleading headline that really isn't discussed in the article

pictures that look photoshopped

information without data

outlandish claims obviously meant to deceive people

complete fabrication--the whole story is false

Did you know that Hitler founded the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda under Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels?  And that Goebbels got his ideas from Hollywood's advertising, which were obviously using manipulation to publicize their movies.
