The Korean Bishops are using Kim Yu-na, the Olympic Skating Star, to explain the Rosary. It seems that in Korea, many people, including Catholics, are pretty ignorant about the Rosary. I find that strange, since many religions have prayer beads, including Buddhists. Maybe they mean "how to pray the Rosary." Anyway, since Kim Yu-na always wears a Rosary Ring, the Bishops considered this a nice public educational tool, to explain the Rosary.
Interestingly, Kim Yu-na wasn't born Catholic. She was only baptized a few years ago. Her father is not Catholic. Read the story at Union of Catholic Asian News.
This girl is something special. May God continue to bless her.
